1. The machines will be inspected by the bidder at Track Workshop, Raiwind and an intemised Bill of Quantities ( BOQ ) prepared which will be submitted with the bid duly priced.

2. The work of special repair of both the machines will be carried out in Pakistan, either at Track Machine Shop, Raiwind or Lahore.

3. The Successful bidder  will arrange supply of spare parts, artisans, technical and non technical manpower required for carrying out the repair work.

4. The work will be completed within the time stipulated in the tender documents which will be of significant value during the evaluation of bids.

5. The firms are required to quote their rates on FOR Lahore basis.

6. The bidders are required to quote separately for the imported items, items procured locally and the cost of labour and overheads etc. The prices of imported items would be quoted in Euro or Dollars while the local items and inputs would be quoted in Pak Rupees.

7. Conditional offers, stipulating any change, Specially the completion period are liable to be rejected. Companies with requisite experience and proven capabilities relating to rehabilitation/major repairs of tamping machines are required to submit their bids.

10. The tenders will be dropped at 09.30 and opened at 1100 hrs on 19/08/2008. in the office of Senior Mechanical Engineer / Track Machines ( SME/TM ), Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore in the presence of tenders.
