Training:

The Directorate of Information Technology has trained over 500 officers and staff in office automation. Classes are periodically held at the state of the art training center at Data Center, Lahore. Also, a computer lab is maintained at Pakistan Railway's Training Center at Walton, Lahore.

More than 1000 employees are trained with applications software developed by this Directorate. These classes will continue until the entire staff of Pakistan Railways is properly trained so that they may derive maximum benefit from the very purpose of computerization.
